Resources are Accounts that are connected with a Project. They are similar to Project Contacts, except they are Account records instead of Contact records. Resources would be caterers, transportation companies, hotels, etc. There is a reference section on the Resource page to connect back to a Contact.
Resources must exist as Accounts before they are connected to a Project via the Resources object. You will be able to review all Projects an Account is associated with via the related list Resources field.
We can also rate Vendors so as to keep track of how well we liked working with them and if there are any notes and recommendations for working with them in the future.
