We use Projects within GlobalConnect, PED, and MCCD to track individual and group projects.
Each Project has it's own record. Any Project that is multi-year or multi-cohort should have different Projects for each year or cohort. Those Projects can then be connected to the main Project via the Parent Project field on the record.
As of December 2019, we have four record types for Projects - GlobalConnect, MCDE, IVLP, and MCCD.

As each project and program is unique, we will likely add additional record types in order to most succinctly and comprehensively track details and information. If you determine that the record type for your division does not meet your needs, please speak to your department contact and/or System Administrator.
We identify connections between Accounts, Contacts, and Projects by using the following objects:
- Project Visitor: any Contact that is a visitor, attendee, or participant on a Project.
- Project Contact: any Contact that is a non-visitor connection - such as State Department or Meridian staff, interpreters, etc.
- Resources: Similar to a Project Contact, Resources are any Account that is connected to a Meridian program - such as transportation companies, hotels, site visit locations, etc.
Additional information that we need to track for Projects but that does not fit with the Project object are done through Itineraries.
