Opportunities are where we track fundraising, award management, and other moneys coming into the organization.
Opportunities are deals in progress. Opportunity records track details about deals, including which accounts they’re for, who the players are, and the amount of potential deals.

In Opportunities, we can track the amount of the expected payment/deal, stage of the deal (expected, in process, etc.), and therefore the probability of the deal coming through, when the deal/payment should be expected and when it was paid in, what Fund it is associated with, and more. Opportunities are very helpful for tracking any and all incoming funds, from tickets to the Ball to grant applications for Projects.
Within an Opportunity, we can:
- Add products and attach files, such as contracts or data sheets.
- Log the calls you make.
- Use Notes to jot down things during customer meetings.
- Create tasks for key activities and calendar events for client meetings.
- Send email to the Opportunity contact or other key decision-makers.
Opportunities are often connected to Campaigns. You can see the Opportunities associated with a given Campaign under the Campaign Members graph on the Related list page.
